My favorite job I've worked on is the Zable Stadium at William & Mary, I like emulating how old buildings were constructed, with traditional arches and brick bond patterns.

My favorite part about working for ValCon is that the people all feel like family here.

As the administrative assistant at ValCon Masonry, I have the honor of being involved in a multitude of tasks including invoicing, reconciling and being the voice you hear when you call our office. There is a sense of positivity and teamwork as soon as you enter the doors at ValCon, making the company a pleasant environment to be a part of.

As the Human Resource Manager, my job allows me to focus on one of the most important assets of our company; our employees.  My day to day involvement is geared toward employee growth and the effective management of our people to help ValCon gain a competitive advantage in the masonry market!  Additionally, I enjoy overseeing employee-benefit design, reward management, training and development.  If you don’t create a great, rewarding place for people to work, then they won’t do great work.

My favorite thing about working for ValCon is the ValCon team itself. ValCon is one big family, from administration through field operations all working towards the same goal, together.

Mitch has served as our director of safety and Loss Control since 2013. He’s responsible for the development, implementation and monitoring of the corporate H&S, and Loss Control programs.

Mitch has over 22 years of experience managing safety programs in the construction arena, across multiple trades. Prior to his construction safety career, he spent 21 years managing facilities, diving and hyperbaric, and weapons safety, programs for the U. S. Navy.

With an entrepreneurial drive and 30 years of masonry industry experience, I incorporated ValCon Masonry in 2011.  Prior to ValCon, I was the VP Admin/CFO of a leading commercial masonry contractor for 20 years.

Perhaps the most important thing to know about me and ValCon Masonry are the people and goals we are committed to; our clients, exceptional standards, the quality and responsiveness of our services and our employee’s growth.  I am determined to break the mold and replace frustration with fun and smiles.  You can’t put a dollar figure on human resources, nor can you appraise the worth of their wide range of professional experiences and backgrounds.  Employee satisfaction is in direct relation to client satisfaction.  One thing is certain, the intangible benefit they offer every project is priceless. At ValCon, it’s included at no extra charge.  By keeping these concerns in mind, ValCon Masonry has become one of Hampton Roads leading commercial masonry contractors.
